S.T.A.R. Program

The S.T.A.R. Program was created to promote and reward excellence in our students.  The S.T.A.R. criteria is as follows:

• Scholarship-Maintain 85 average, attend all Portfolio sessions, 80% Punctuality, and 95% Attendance
• Three Activities-Complete at least three Extracurricular Activities every year
• Advanced Classes-Take an AP course every year 10th-12th grade
• Regents-College Readiness benchmarks for English and Math Regents, 1200 SAT and/or 27 on ACT

Rising S.T.A.R. Program

The Rising S.T.A.R. Program was created by our students to motivate others to become S.T.A.R.s.  To qualify as a Rising S.T.A.R., you must demonstrate the following Academic/Punctual Improvements at the end of the marking period:

• 5% increase in GPA from last marking period or Improve overall GPA one semester to the next
• Increase in Punctuality (Working towards  80%+)
