Brooklyn Prep offers our students many ways to be involved with the community.  Last year our students completed
1,182 community service hours!

Community Service

BPHS partners with New York Cares to provide community service opportunities to our students.   ​Students volunteer throughout the year at libraries, schools, parks, senior citizen homes and soup kitchens to help those in need.

Youth Philanthropy Initiative

All BPHS students are invited to join the Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI).  Students research non-profit organizations and charities, choose one to fight for, and compete to earn $5,000 for the charity of their choice!  Students earn 30 hours of community service credit.​

Walks of Support

Every year, Brooklyn Prep students organize, fundraise and attend the NYC Breast Cancer and AIDS Walks.
